Introduction:

Most of us long for harmony in our relationships, yet so often the way we express ourselves and listen to each other leads to misunderstanding, frustration and disconnection. This course will introduce you to ways of communicating and listening based on "Nonviolent Communication", also known as "Compassionate Communication" - the revolutionary work of Dr Marshall Rosenberg. This practical, learnable process has been proven to contribute to greater understanding, connection and harmony in any relationship - whether with your family and friends, colleagues or intimate partner, and of course - yourself.

This training is for you if you:

  • Are longing for more ease and understanding in your relationships as well as openness and trust
  • Are wanting to know how to have necessary, yet difficult conversations honestly, peacefully and productively
  • Are wanting tools to support you to feel confident in speaking up strongly AND compassionately
  • Want clarity about how to hold everyone's needs as precious without feeling responsible
  • Want to learn how to get your needs met in your relationship, and still enjoy harmony and connection with your partner or others
  • Long for insight into how to express strong emotions in ways that show respect and care for self and others
  • Wish to rediscover joy and intimacy and enliven your relationships
  • Want to learn skills and strategies to enhance EVERY relationship and that are useful in ALL situations regardless of emotional intensity

Having trained with Dr Marshall Rosenberg, I am one of 10 Certified NVC Trainers in Australia, and I am delighted to share this practical and powerfully transformative communication process with you and through the Byron Community College.
