Introduction:

When you’re just starting out, every dollar counts — so why spend hundreds each year on accounting software you don’t really need?
 
This practical, 3-hour workshop will show you how to set up and run a simple, effective accounting system in Microsoft Excel. You’ll learn how to track your income and expenses, manage cash flow, and get a clear picture of your business finances — all without ongoing subscription costs.
 
Designed for start-ups and early-stage small businesses, this session is perfect for those who want full control of their numbers while keeping costs low. You’ll leave with a ready-to-use Excel template and the skills to make it work for you from day one.
 
This is a practical session so having access to either Excel (preferable) or Google Sheets is advisable. 


 

What You’ll learn:

  • Basic spreadsheet formulas and creating a template for your business
  • Set up a simple accounting system in Excel from scratch
  • Generate basic financial reports (e.g. profit and loss) in Excel
  • How to create a basic invoice in Excel

What You'll Need

  • This is an online class - please ensure you have stable wifi connection for your computer plus  video and speakers
  • Either Excel (preferable) or Google Sheets is advisable on your computer
  • Pen and paper for notes

Important Information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include your receipt and inform you of the dates, times and venue for your course. It will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.

Davina Bambrick


Davina is known for mastering the art of “doing more than one thing”. 
After working for businesses in both rural and metro areas in the fashion and jewellery industry, and formally studying business at University, Davina was drawn into a corporate role as a Senior Executive, where she adopted the mindset of being “commercial with a heart”. After two decades in a fast-paced role, her creative spirit drew her back to “the bush” to start her own business.For the past almost 4 years, she has enjoyed a flourishing photography career working with magazines like Country Style and Galah Press.

In addition to being a photographer, Davina has opened the doors to The Bush Business Collective. A place where business operators outside of the metro areas, can cultivate a network, learn, feel inspired or simply connect for some advice or knowledge about how to start or run a business.

Alongside this Davina is an accredited Trainer and Assessor, teaching students how to develop the entrepreneurial mindset and essential skills to being effective in business.
