Introduction:

Discover the sounds of Latin America in this fun and practical guitar course. We’ll explore rhythms and songs from countries like Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia. It’s perfect for anyone with basic guitar skills who wants to dive into the rich and vibrant world of Latin American music.

In this course, we’ll dive into the rich and varied guitar styles of Latin America — from cumbia and zamba to bossa nova and traditional Andean music like huayno. You’ll explore the stories behind these rhythms, build confidence with timing and strumming, and grow your song list. Classes include playing together and one-on-one feedback

Basic chords open position and need to be able to read tabs.

What to Bring

  • Your acoustic guitar, guitar tuner(optional), music stand(optional)
  • Pen and paper, if you wish to take notes.

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include your receipt and inform you of the dates, times and venue for your course. It will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.

Joaquin is  a dedicated guitar teacher with a strong focus on Latin American music, a style he has been studying and playing for many years. In his workshops, students explore the unique rhythms, harmonies, and techniques that make this music so rich and expressive.

His students work hands-on with the guitar, learning traditional patterns, chord progressions, and the cultural background behind each style. With years of teaching experience in Chile and Australia, he creates a welcoming and practical environment where players of all levels can connect with the vibrant sounds of Latin America and grow their skills while enjoying the process.
