Photography - Your Personal Vision

There are currently no openings available for this course.

Introduction:

This six-week course is designed for any photographer with a passion to go deeper in their practice and improve their skills of effective image making. Students will be encouraged to explore various photographic styles to help define their unique visual path, with a goal to recognise their individual vision and find their voice when it comes to taking photos. Students with all levels of experience are welcome.

During each session we will review examples of various photographers' work to offer inspiration and aid in building a visual library. Assignments and activities will be given and students will explore self-portraiture, environmental portraiture, street photography, image and text, and extended photo essay projects. Weekly review sessions will give students an opportunity to freely discuss their images from a creative and technical perspective in a safe, positive and supportive environment. Although basic photographic camera operation knowledge is assumed, all levels of experience are welcome. Technical issues will be discussed as they arise and basic image editing will be demonstrated. Since the focus of the workshop is exploring our personal vision, any camera can be used from an i-Phone to the latest digital SLR.
