Jennifer Pletzer - certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care 

My partner and I were traveling around Australia, when he decided to study Permaculture and found the best suited course at the Byron Community College. 

I chose to have a browse through the College’s Brochure  to see which course might appeal to me and found the Certificate III for Early Childhood Education and Care.  

It made me get excited about our move to Mullumbimby. I have always worked with children but never actually thought about getting a degree or similar. 

 I signed up and for the past 8 months I studyied here at the Mullumbimby campus. 

This course has given me a great insight into the first few years of a little human and I enjoyed learning so many things I will be able to apply with my own future children as well as all children in my care.  

I have now just finished my Certificate III, the first Certificate I have ever finished since Highschool 10 years ago, and I am so excited about all the opportunities this has opened up to me.  

I have already started working as a full time nanny and have made plans to apply for jobs at centres for next year as well as planning our future dream of owning a Permacuture Day Care. 

I highly recommend this course to anyone working with children or even just planning to have children as it helps understand these little beings on a new level and gets you excited about the smallest milestonesreached. Good times.
