The Knitting Club
Introduction:
Discover the joy of knitting and learn how to turn yarn into something beautiful! Whether you're picking up knitting needles for the first time or looking to refresh your skills, this hands-on workshop will guide you through the essentials in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Learn how to cast on and cast off, master knit and purl stitches, and explore techniques for increasing and decreasing stitches to create different shapes. You'll also discover how to read and follow knitting patterns, understand the information they contain and learn the basics of creating beautiful lace designs.
Each lesson builds on the last, giving you plenty of time to practise, experiment and grow your confidence. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a solid foundation in knitting and the skills to start creating your own projects at home.
What to bring
- A few balls of wool (12 ply or thicker)
- Matching knitting needles
- A plate of food to share for morning tea
Important information
Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include your receipt and inform you of the dates, times and venue for your course. It will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.

Students are required to be 15 years old and above at the time of enrolment.
