Introduction:

Using acrylic paint and pastels, you will be guided by renowned artist Jacqueline Scotcher to explore how natural forms can be translated into expressive abstract artworks.

This introductory, hands-on session invites you to experiment with colour, line, pattern, and shape, building confidence in your creative decision-making and painting practice.
Designed to be both inspiring and accessible, the workshop offers practical techniques and approaches that you can continue to develop and expand well beyond the classroom.

This class will guide you through ways to interpret natural forms into interesting abstract paintings. We will combine drawing and painting techniques to build up a playful surface, with a focus on colour combinations and line qualities. You will learn about acrylic materials and paint applications and leave with a painted canvas.
