*NEW* Introduction to Linocut Printing

There are currently no openings available for this course.

Introduction:

Curious about printmaking? This hands-on workshop is a fun and creative introduction to the art of linocut. You’ll explore the full process of relief printmaking — from developing your own design ideas, to safely carving into lino using specialist tools, to inking and printing your finished artwork by hand.

Along the way, you’ll learn how to think in reverse for print, understand mark-making and texture, and experiment with layering and composition. No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and creativity. By the end, you’ll walk away with your own unique prints and the confidence to continue exploring linocut at home or in future creative projects.

Having lived in the Byron Shire region for the past 30 years—first in Huonbrook and now in Brunswick Heads—her artistic work is deeply connected to and inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Holding a Degree in Visual Arts with a specialisation in printmaking, Rachel brings both technical expertise and a strong conceptual approach to her work. She is passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge, and is committed to fostering creativity in others.
