Through relaxed, follow-along demonstrations, you’ll learn how to bring landscapes to life using essential techniques like composition, colour mixing, and value control. Explore professional methods including thumbnail sketching, underpainting, atmospheric perspective, and edge work—all while creating your own beautiful pieces along the way.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your style, this course will help you simplify what you see, paint with more intention, and achieve more confident, successful results.

Kym BeatonKym is a landscape and life painter whose work captures the energy and spontaneity of painting from life. Formally trained in graphic design, she has received awards including the APANZ Artist Member Honour in New Zealand’s pastel community and has featured on Colour In Your Life. Passionate about sharing her skills, Kym leads workshops, plein air sessions, and life-drawing classes to inspire and mentor other artists.
