Tutor Profile:

Michele Bevis

Michele Bevis has been a lamp worker since 2005, exploring the concept of handmade glass beads versus machine made. Her explorations led to the creation of emubeads (www.emubeads.com), the uniquely designed and handmade glass beads which incorporate waste metal inclusions and fine silver additions.

With a long history in recycling, Michele has been supporting women to upcycle their jewellery box of loved, broken and forgotten jewellery. For almost two decades, she has been teaching basic jewellery making skills and guiding participants to design their own necklaces using the solo earrings and other unworn, collected pieces. Her ability to creatively problem solve and offer solutions results in a uniquely fabulous necklace by the end of the class. If you have been wondering what to do with your collection, this is for you. No experience necessary. visit instagram/emubeads and www.facebook.com/emubeads for more visuals
