Introduction:
In two days the course will cover all the steps to making a run of T-shirts or works on paper. Prior to the course, you will choose the images or designs you wish to print and Jude will photographically expose them onto a silk screen.
On day 2 of the course you will continue printing and exploring different techniques as well as learning how to print T-shirts using a carousel. Jude will also cover how to best select fabrics, inks and papers for printing as well as tips and tricks on how to set-up your own DIY screen-print workshop at home.

Important information

Tutor Profile:
With over 35 years experience, Jude White is a vibrant artist, textile designer and teacher. Jude professionally trained as a screen printer and textile artist at Melbourne University in the 80's. Since then she has continued her Arts practice and exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions as well as facilitating screen printing workshops all over Australia. Jude is passionate about supporting first nations artists' to translate their artworks into repeat printable textile designs and has worked with many Indigenous art centres, in particular: Injalak Arts & Crafts, Ikuntji Artists', and Waralungku Arts.
Currently living, mothering and practicing in Northern NSW, on Bundjalung country, Jude’s current work reflects the colours, shapes and textures of the Australian landscape through painting, botanical dyeing, printmaking, collage and cloth. In her work she aims to invoke a deep devotion of this sacred land and inspire others to appreciate and care for it.
