This hands-on, two-day masterclass is perfect for anyone looking to grow more of their own food—even in the cooler months. Discover how to make your veggie garden productive through out the year with practical strategies and plants that work for our local climate.
 
Whether you're a beginner or already growing some of your own food, you’ll walk away with the confidence and skills to plan, plant, and harvest seasonal crops that nourish your family and reduce your grocery bill.
In this course, you'll learn:
  • How to choose the best winter crops for our region
  • Soil preparation techniques to boost plant health and yield
  • How to protect your garden from pests and diseases during the cooler months
  • Tips for succession planting to ensure ongoing harvests
  • Low-cost, sustainable practices you can use year-round

  • Wear clothes suitable for gardening eg. covered shoes or boots, sun protection

Important information

Once your enrolment is completed you will receive a confirmation email. This email will include your receipt and inform you of the dates, times and venue for your course. It will also let you know of anything you need to take to class with you.

Janene Price
 
Janene is an organic gardener, educator and consultant who uses permaculture principles in her work and daily life. Her business 'Love to Grow' helps people implement effective and realistic permaculture based gardens into their lives. As well as working in private gardens, she has a micro flower farm in Burringbar and is running permaculture, cut flower and gardening workshops for the public.
