Join Mark Swivel from Barefoot Law in this short course on the rights of tenants and the powers of landlords, the process from application to eviction, how to run a conciliation (mediation) and the basics of full defended hearings.

Mark is principal of Barefoot Law, a community legal practice in Byron Bay. A lawyer for 30 years, Mark has run key cases in aged care (Feros, 2023), small business (Bluefest 2020-21), unfair dismissal (Chait 2024) and mental health (Robbins 2023).
Mark is a writer and performer. Mark has a new book out One Pie Wellness co- created with artist Bec Kocass. Other work includes Water Falling Down (Queensland Theatre Company) and Making Australia Slightly Better Than Average Again (Puncher & Wattmann). Mark is also MC of Dustyesky.
Mark is a councillor at Byron Shire, president of Eureka FC and a long-time director at Spaghetti Circus. Mark does regular radio spots on the ABC and appeared on Late Night Live with Philip Adams who gave him a Koala Stamp.
