Whether you’re a returning welding student, a hands-on hobbyist, or a complete beginner curious about working with metal, this workshop offers safe and effective techniques culminating in the perfect blend of creative and practical skills.

Tutor Profile:

Nyree Smith

Smithing and metalwork have been my career and passion for 30 years, 22 of them with my own business. I apply an artisan philosophy and application to my work, and have won awards from the Australia Council for the Arts, George Alexander Foundation and the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust. It is a dream of mine to make the world of metalwork more accessible and interesting to others, so they too can discover what it's like to construct and create with this infinitely malleable material, the possibilities are endless and the feeling is empowering and inspiring.
