Term 2 has arrived at Byron Community College
Term 2 has arrived at Byron Community College, bringing with it an inspiring lineup of courses across creative arts, wellbeing, digital skills, and nationally recognised training. With courses now live as of Monday 30 March, it’s the perfect time to explore what’s on offer and plan your next learning experience.
New this term are $99 short courses—designed as accessible, hands-on tasters for those who are curious, time-poor, or keen to try something different. These compact workshops make it easy to pick up practical skills, tap into creativity, or simply enjoy a rewarding few hours in a supportive environment.
Beyond the classroom, the college continues to make a meaningful impact through its community outreach initiatives. From delivering First Aid training with Arakwal and local Neighbourhood Centre, to building digital confidence through programs with Byron Community Centre, and facilitating learning opportunities within Tweed Correctional Facilities, the focus remains firmly on connection and accessibility.
Byron Community College recently partnered with Byron Youth Service to provide a space for to host a barber shop offering free haircuts to the public. See our socials for more information.
The college also recently brought the community together to celebrate women through a special Women’s Talk event, hosted by Mandy Nolan. Featuring insightful contributions from Karin Lucia Gisler, Moana Moon, and Rebecca Laws, the event sparked thoughtful conversations around creativity, leadership, and opportunity.
If you’d like to experience it all firsthand, you’re warmly invited to the Open Day on Wednesday 22 April from 10:30am–12:00pm—an opportunity to meet trainers, explore courses, and connect with the vibrant learning community.
