There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Admission / Desirable Requirements
It is strongly recommended that learners to be able to bend, lift, stand for long periods, partially squat, weight bear on a single leg, have moderate grip and postural strength.
Learners who are unable to physically complete assessments to a satisfactory standard, may only receive a Statement of Attendance for their participation.
It is essential that learners have access to a computer, phone and internet whilst studying with the College, as assessments may be completed online.
Work Placement
Students are required to complete a minimum of 80 hours of massage practical experience, that formally contributes to the assessment process. This includes the need to collect and use information from the supervised student clinic experience as part of your overall assessment. Clinic work experience is mandatory and an assessable component of the course. Each student must complete 60 hours of tutor supervised clinic work and 20 hours unsupervised massage practice.
The trainer will assist you to arrange clinic time. During terms 1 and 2 you will undertake 3 to 6 hours of supervised client treatment each week in the student clinic. Allowing for 15 minutes between clients and an additional 30 minutes before and after each shift for set up and pack down, you will need to allow up to 5 hours per day for the in-house student clinic. In addition, you will be expected to average 1 unsupervised massage practice hour each week.

Course Fees
This course is being offered as a subsidised course to eligible students under the Smart and Skilled program.
To be eligible for Smart and Skilled government subsidised training, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder, or a New Zealand citizen; and
- Live or work in New South Wales; and
- Be aged 15 years or older; and
- No longer be at school or equivalent; and
- Provide the College with your USI at the time of enrolment (admin staff can assist you in obtaining a USI

Payment Plan
Course fees are paid in instalments scheduled throughout the duration of the course. Fee schedules for individual courses are outlined on the enrolment paperwork available through the college administration team.

USI
From 1 January 2015 all students undertaking accredited training must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This requirement applies to all nationally recognised training, from full qualifications to single-unit courses.
You must provide BRCC with your USI at enrolment. If you don’t already have one, you (or your parent or guardian) can apply for one at http://usi.gov.au/create-your-USI/Pages/default.aspx. You will need to have one form of identification and a valid email address to create your USI.
Alternatively, college staff can assist you to create your USI. We will need to collect your identification and personal information to complete this. You will also need to complete a consent form for us to do this.
