Tutor Profile:

Last Aid - Caring for the Dying at Home is presented by the Training & Education team from Amitayus Home Hospice Service -AHHS.

Amitayus - the Buddha of Limitless Life - have been serving Byron community for 30 years, and providing training for volunteers who give respite to the primary carer of people who choose to die at home. AHHS has no specific religious or spiritual affiliation and our services are free of charge.

Last Aid asks "Why die at Home?" and then proceeds to cover the journey from this decision through to the practical requirements, duty of care, grief & loss, spiritual care and after death care of the dying person.

This course presents practical, experiential and contemplative methods to assist participants in their exploration of the profound journey to the end of life.

Amitayus presents Last Aid for those wishing to volunteer or their own personal curiosity.
