Perennial vegetables are delicious and easy to grow. They thrive in our subtropical conditions and can replace many of our more tender edibles like lettuce which struggle in our subtropical growing conditions. Learn how to incorporate perennial vegetables into your favourite recipes.

Sharon has been cooking with these rare and unusual plants for many years, gleaning recipes from around the world and creating her own delicious dishes. Learn how to process and prepare a delicious meal from the perennial garden. Gourds replace zucchini, Jicama sweet leaf replaces lettuce, sissoo replaces spinach and silver beet, yam and taro replace potatoes.
